Sure, they can paint—but only YOU can write. Yes, about elephants. We’re hosting a two-level contest with (a) modest $$ winnings and (b) possible inclusion in Elephanthology, a planned anthology of elephant lore—short stories of fiction or narrative nonfiction (imaginative writing, not articles per se), poetry, flash fiction . . . all published with author’s name for each piece.
. . . is for work of 500-5000 words. Entry fee for each submission—and one author may submit more than one piece—is $10 per entry. Modest prizes of $150 for 1st Place and $50 for 2nd Place will be announced around 1 December 2013 after contest closes at midnight on 30 November 2013.
. . .is for flash fiction/narrative nonfiction of fewer than 500 words and for poetry of any length. No entry fee is involved for submissions in this LEVEL TWO category. And although these submissions will not be eligible for the cash prizes, they will definitely be considered for use with your name (of course) in the Elephanthology publication.
